Here's Why Some Christians Experience Lack
by Daniel N. Brown
Heaven is a place of abundance and earth is a place of abundance.
Every where God is, is a place of abundance, for God is an
abundant God. If God is in you, then you are a person of
abundance!
You may ask then, "Why do I experience lack?"
I truly believe the answer to that question is found in the
question itself.
Do you constantly dwell on lack by continuing to think about it,
talk about it, and complain about it? It is a fact that whatever
your mind focuses on, that is what it attracts. The bad news is,
your old habitual ways of thinking have gotten you to where you
are today, but the good news is, old habits can be changed.
Begin right now to develop some new habits like speaking God's
Word regularly. God's Word is forever established in heaven
(Psalm 119:89) and is living, powerful, and sharper than any
two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit,
and of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts
and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).
God's Word contains the power you need to bring outrageous
blessings into your life! That's what a person needs to totally
renew their mind to the Word of God in order to receive all that
He has available. But, before His Word can bring outrageous
blessings into your life, you must first believe that He is a God
of abundance, and that it is His will that you live an abundant
and prosperous life. Second, you must believe that His Word
can transform any situation.
The following Scriptures testify to the fact that God wants you
to prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers (3 John
1:2). If you confess these every day you will see your life change
in a big way...
~Jesus became poor, that through His poverty we might become
rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9)
~God has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. (Psalm 35:27)
~The blessing of the Lord makes one rich. (Proverbs 10:22)
~God is not selfish or stingy but gives us richly all things to
enjoy. (1 Timothy 6:17)
~The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. (Psalm 33:5)
~We are joint heirs with Christ. (Romans 8:17)
~With Him God also freely gave us all things. (Romans 8:32)
~We will reign as kings in life through Christ. (Romans 5:17)
~God gives us power to get wealth. (Deuteronomy 8:18)
~God teaches us to profit. (Isaiah 48:17)
~God gave us instructions on how to be prosperous and have good
success. (Joshua 1:8 & Psalm 1:1-3)
~God desires that we prosper. (3 John 1:2)
~We should have all sufficiency in all things so we can have an
abundance for every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)
~We have been called to freedom. (Galatians 5:13)
~Whom the Son of God sets free, is free indeed. (John 8:36)
~How much more will our Father who is in heaven give good
things." (Matthew 7:11)
~Ask the Father and receive that your joy may be full. (John
16:24)
~Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law (Galatians
3:13) which includes poverty and lack.
~The blessing of Abraham should come upon those who are
in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:14)
~The Lord blessed Abraham in all things. (Genesis 24:1)
~Abraham was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.
(Genesis 13:2)
~God shows no partiality (Acts 10:34) and made several people
in the Bible wealthy.
~God says wisdom is the principal thing and commands us to get
it. (Proverbs 4:7)
~Jesus has been made unto us wisdom. (1 Corinthians 1:30)
~Riches and honor come with wisdom. (Proverbs 3:16 & 8:18)
~Instructions are given that we may lack nothing. (1
Thessalonians 4:11-12; James 1:4)
~God has given to us all things that pertain to life and
godliness. (2 Peter 1:3)
~Jesus told us to pray that God's will be done on earth as it is
in heaven. (Matthew 6:10)
These Scriptures testify to the fact that God wants us to prosper
and be in health, even as our souls prosper (3 John 1:2). Get
into a habit of confessing these Scriptures every day and see your
life change dramatically!
