I Don't Want To Wait for Heaven
I don't want to wait for Heaven To make the wrong things right ~ I hate the disagreements, and I hate the Slightest hint of fight.
I don't want to carry heartaches, burdens, There to Heaven’s door ~ Let me make amends, renew a friend, This side of Heaven’s shore.
I don't want to wait to ask one To forgive some thoughtless act; So I’ll say my "Please forgive me" Before they even ask.
And if I am offended, then I’ll say (Before they speak,) That I forgive them anyway And turn the other cheek.
I don't have the least desire to use A bit of Space in Heaven, Disputing trivial differences ~ Some wrong with which I'm laden.
I just want the glorious SonShine, And the perfect fellowship ~ So I won't wait for Heaven but Here and now, forgive ~ forget!
