Please pray for my friend, Anita. On Friday, her daughter, Ruth, goes to hospital for investigation into a problem she's been having.
Later on the October 25th, her mother, Muriel, is going in for an operation. Anita is worrying as she has heard that the anaesthetic will make her Alkziemer's disease worse.

Praise God that Ruth's problem wasn't what she and her mother, Anita feared. It is a minor problem that needs just a small operation to be put right. Anita and Ruth are now happier, though, of course any operation, however small, creates anxieties.
Anita is happier but still very worried about her mother, Muriel, who faces an operation on the 25th October.
Please pray for her. Anita is a lovely, sensitive and caring Christian friend who has made me feel uplifted in my walk with Jesus, on many an occasion.

Some wonderful news from Anita! Muriel got through the operation fine with no ill effects at all. Anita says that Muriel is so delightedshe can see better that she is "like a child at Christmas time" full of the wonder of the world. Muriel hasretained a childlike faith and loves Jesus.
Still, Ruth has her operation to face in a week, and she has had a bad dose of gastic flu. Please pray that Ruth is 100% well to face her operation and that this is a success.

More great news! Ruth has got through her operation and is doing fine. She is still recovering of course, and a bit "weepy" after being so brave before the operation, but she is doing all right.
I told Anita that people on this board were praying for her and her family and she feels really blessed.
Thank you so much for your prayers. God Bless.

Praise God for Muriel's and Ruth's successful operations. I'm sure Anita is very relieved that it is all over. Now we must pray for their recovery. I'm so glad that Muriel is seeing the world with new eyes. How wonderful. We continue to pray for them. God bless.

Please continue to pray. Anita's family have hadsome wonderful answers to prayer. Muriel, with her simple faith and loving nature, continues to bring others in her Care Home closer to Jesus.
Anita is a wonderful caring friend to all those who know her.
But Ruth is having complications after her operation and has developed a haematoma? (I am not sure what it is) on the siteof her operation scar.
Please pray for Ruth that this may heal.

Please pray for Anita's daughter, Ruth. She has suffered a setback.
After her exploratory operation, it was thought she had a haematoma but that this would disappear and all would be well as all tests had ruled out any life-threatening problem.
But, several weeks later, Ruth still has pains and Ruth's doctor is concerned that the site of the operation should be investigated. All scans have proved that there is no serious underlying condition- but thje doctorsaid that infections can enter due to less tha sterile surgical instruments.
Anita, Ruth's mother is naturally very upset and anxious.Ruth cannot return to her work and is getting depressed about this.
The only good thing is that she is due to have a talk with someone at her work (I forgot the official title) and the idea will be to get her back to work gradually, starting with much fewer hours a week.
I find it very worrying that there are more cases now of patients suffering because of lack of hygiene and lack of scrupulous attention to getting instruments sterile.
Please pray for Ruth. And also pleasepray about the National Health Service which, in some areas, seems to be suffering as a result of too much "management" and not enough care for patients. Many nurses and doctors, who are working so hard in very difficult circumstances, must feel this too.
Thank you so much for your prayers for these dear friends of mine. It is such a blessing to be able to ask other Christians for prayer. God bless

Thank you so much for updating us about Anita and her daughter, who urgently need prayer after a set-back to Ruth's recovery. We are praying for them. Please don't worry at all. God is in complete control of the situation. He loves them so much. Keep us informed about any new developments that might occur. God will work out a way where there is none. "Through waves and clouds and storms, He gently clears the way."
God bless, Miriam.

Thank you so much for your prayers. No real developments as such- but Ruth's doctor has asked if she has a private health plan- so obviously hopes she is able to have a consultation at a Private hospital.
Also, although Ruth is a Christian, and has been since her early teens, she is living with her long-term boyfriend and they have bought a house together.
It seems strange that she is not the only one. I have heard of other young people who are Christians who somehow have got caught up in the customs of the world.
Do you think God may be wanting her to make her partnership with her boyfriend in line with what God requires before she can receive healing?
I know a lot of young people these days think they have to have a big wedding when only a simple one would do.
I know God doesn't punish someone He loves- and I know he loves Anita and all her family. But could this be a problem in her healing? If so- I will pray about it specifically. Should I mention it to Anita? I will do nothing until I have a reply!!!
Thanks again for your prayers. God Bless

Thank you so much for telling us the actual realities about Ruth's life. It is so sad that although Ruth is a Christian, she is not living as one. Young people who are Christians must never be caught up in the customs of the world.
When we pray for healing, it is very important to make all aspects of our lives in accordance with God's Will. How can we pray for healing, when we are doing the opposite of what God wants for us?
Although God loves us with all His heart, we are commanded to obey His rules for daily living. God's love for us does not exempt us from following His rules. We have to obey, whether we like it or not. There is no "IF" with God.
I pray that God will use you to influence Anita and Ruth in their way of thinking. You are God's ambassador to them. You must make them see the light. In order for you to do this, you must wait upon God and get strength from Him. He will guide you on what to say to them. I am praying for you.
God bless, Miriam.

Thank you so much for your prayers. I have since found out that Ruth would like to get married, but her partner is not willing to, because of the bad example of his parent's marriage. (This seems like an excuse to me, although they have been together a few years now.)
Also- things are not getting better for Ruth. She had a really a bad scare when she experienced sudden and agognising pain and the doctors at the hospital seem to believe it was adhesions from her old appendix operation that have come away. A scan revealed nothing life-threatening, but she has been told she may have to live with the pain. She is finding this impossible and has requested another hospital appointment.
Anita's husband Dave, who is diabetic has also had problems with declining health.
The only postive thing in Anita's life is that her mother, Muriel, continues to do well, although "confused" due to Alkzeimer's disease. She is like a child in her faith and is a delight and a comfort to all in her Care Home.
Please continue to pray for Anita and her family. Thank you.

I have a new report about Anita's daughter, Ruth- I will give a quick run down of her progess from the beginning:
Ruth was suffering with abdominal pain that often made her feel faint.
She went to the GP who arranged for a hospital appointment.
The doctors at the hospital got the idea it MUST be a woman's problem- so sent her to the gyneacologist to get a laparoscopy. They found nothing wrong but said it may be IBS- or due to adhesions from an old appencenctomy scar. She didn't get better- lost a lot of time at work, and one day had a sensatation that something had snapped inside her, followed by terrible pain.
She went back and was told it was something she had to live with- chronic pain syndrome- and was sent by work to occupational health to get rehabilitated. The woman at occupational health was dissmissive and almost accused her of malingering. Ruth was worried because needs money to pay the mortgage. Eventually Ruth's GP advised her to see a private consultant, and to have a CAT scan.
She did- and they found that the only real problem she had was not IBS- but bowel spasms, that can be controlled by diet and stress management. BUT- she now has a problem needing an operation, as she has a hernia due to a badly performed procedure- the laparoscopy. The private consultant gave a strong hint that she should sue!!!!
Both Ruth and Anita are frightened of operations. Anita fears that something might go wrong.
Anita is a lovely Christian woman who encourages others, but she is a worrier and nervous.
Please pray for all to go well this time.
Also pray for health concerns in this country, the standard of care seems so "patchy".
But I praise God that Ruth has at last ben correctly diagnosed.

I am praying for Ruth and Anita. May God heal Ruth so that she will not need to have an operation. The doctors told my parents that they would need to have major operations. But we prayed to God to heal them. God healed both of them miraculously! No operations were ever done. Praise His Holy Name! Amen.
