TOO BROKEN TO BE FIXED
Did you ever think you were
Too broken to be fixed?
Have you ever been so chained up that you
Didn’t think you would ever be released?
Did you ever wonder if all your restlessness
Would be calmed, and the storm
Within you, one day cease?
Did you ever think you were
Too bound to ever be set free?
Have you ever been so blinded by darkness that you
Thought the Light of day, would never be seen?
Did you ever think you had too many problems, which
No one could possibly solve?
Did you ever wonder if there was any comfort, which
Could soothe, your aching heart and soul?
Have you ever been so stained by sin, that you didn’t
Think you could be washed clean
Have you ever thought no one would love you, if they
Knew who you really were, and where you had been?
If you have thought and wondered all these things
And you are the person described in this poem
I want to tell you, in your questions, you are not alone
You are not too broken to be fixed
There is Hope for the prisoner and the captive
Because Gods Grace was given for lives like this
If Jesus was walking the earth today, He would
Silence your questions with just one touch
He would pick you out from the crowd
And probably ask if He could go to your place for lunch
He would show His compassion and mercy to you
And sit and listen to your struggles, and weep, as
You share the hurt and pain you have gone though
He would place His arm around your shoulder
And accept you just the way you are
He would speak gently, and give you
Words of comfort, to soothe your aching heart
He would take the time to listen to every word you say
He would never reject you, condemn you, or turn you away
His Unconditional Love would break
Your chains and set you free
He would pour upon you His Grace and
Offer you, Forgiveness and Mercy
You would not be too broken for Jesus
Nor would you be one that He would ignore
If Jesus was walking on earth today
You are the person He would have stopped for
Although you have not met Him in the flesh
He says, those who believe in Him, and have not
Yet seen Him, will be blessed
He is Alive!
And He is waiting…
To fix your broken life
He is not here in flesh, but here in Spirit
And He will still pick you out from the crowd
Are you willing to allow Him to
Silence all these questions now?
You are not too bad, too broken, and too blind
I know this to be true, because all of
These questions were once mine
Gods Grace flows
Upon the lives that need it the most
Gods grace was given for lives like this
There will never be a life so broken
That the POWER of GODS LOVE couldn’t fix.
