WINTERS LAST GASP
As the days grow longer and the snow melts away,
I see the last snow swirling and blowing in the wind.
I begin to think of times of sledding and throwing snowballs.
Times of building snow forts and making snow angels.
Those were in my younger days, when we played.
We had more spunk and energy then.
Now as I sit and watch the snow swirling from the brisk Winter wind.
I begin to think of the newness of Spring, the grass greening up, the birds singing their happy melody, or building a nest in the tree.
Newness of the earth and of life.
That is what happens when we accept the Lord in our lives
He remakes us new and refreshes us like the Spring flowers.
He guides us through the summer storm and gently guides our path, leading us into the Fall, where our lives begin to slow and leaves slowly fall.
Then the Winter again.
He keeps us warm and guides our slowing steps.
He is there through all stages of our lives to guide, protect and to comfort and hug.
Are you in the Fall or Winter of your life?
Let Him gently lead you through and warm you with his love.
Our lives are seasons Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter.
But God takes us through to meet Him later.
