"Blessed be the Lord and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places" - (Ephesians 1:3)
The 'heavenly places' mean the unseen world of spiritual reality. The phrase emphasises that these blessings with which God has blessed us in Christ, are spiritual blessings. And the reason why they are called spiritual blessings is that they are bestowed by the Holy Spirit.
God has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing - every blessing of the Holy Spirit. The great blessings of a Christian originate with God the Father, who is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our Father if we are in Christ; and they are bestowed by the Holy Spirit.
God the Father is the source from which the blessings come; Jesus Christ is the sphere in whom the blessings are enjoyed; and the Holy Spirit is the agent through whom the blessings are given. I just long that every Christian could understand this truth, believe it, and act upon it.
God has blessed us..... If He is our Father, and made us His children, and we are in Cjrist, then every conceivable blessing is ours, at least in the bud if not yet in the blossom..... If we are in Christ we have everything, because everything we need is in Christ.
