A LOVE THEY CAN SEE WITH THEIR EYES
This world can be such a discouraging place where people struggle by day-after-day. There are people who feel defeated just walking through life conquering problems that get in the way.
But we, as the children of the King of all kings can offer hope, in word and in deed. For it doesn't take long to see someone who's down and is desperate in the midst of their need.
We often underestimate what simple kindness can do ...words of interest spoken straight from the heart. A small investment of our time can tip the scales of encouragement for the person who needs a fresh start.
And we have to stop and look at the hurting all around us and respond the way Jesus would to them. For our Savior was a Man, "acquainted with sorrows" and He touched people time and again.
We might be the one who sends the breath of encouragement ...who God uses to paint a portrait of His grace. We might be the final puzzle piece to a soul who is lost for through us they see a glimpse of His face.
It could very well be that the truth we don't see is they need Christ, but they don't realize. And our compassion reveals a mercy they desire for themselves and a love they can see with their eyes.
