The Hallway of Waiting There are situations of life where we must endure because we're desperate and seeking the way. One door of life shuts while we're forced to wait for an open door, day after day. And there we must stand in the Hallway of Waiting watching for the answer God sends. We're stuck just beyond the shut door behind us in a hallway that seems not to end. But the Hallway of Waiting has infinite value if we let God do what He does the best. For there in the waiting our faith can be built while He comforts our souls with His rest. And there in-between the doors of our lives lies the challenge of Who gets our trust. Because there we take stock of the promises of God and believe that He gave them for us. It's there in the emptiness of our "personal unknown" that we find what is solid remains. For the blessedness of uncertainty is the anchor of Christ who holds us regardless of pain. Then God sheds His light on all stages of life giving value no matter how long. For He brings His glory between the doors of discouragement so His children can wait and be strong.
