One Less Plate At The Table A special poem for those who have lost a loved one who died in Christ. It's a difficult thing to endure that first year after losing a loved one you treasure. For we, as humans, are so tied to each other by a love-bond that gives our hearts pleasure. Holidays are the hardest and most painful to cross because these are times when we all get together; Through birthdays, anniversaries, Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas in the coldest of weather. But for our loved ones who died, redeemed by the Blood of the King who is the author of love; We can know where they are - with the worshipers of heaven and enjoying every splendor above. And while every single holiday on this side of life leaves us with a hole we can't fill, We're aware they are present in the place of their destiny and in the pleasure of God's perfect will. The cycle and circle of this life is always moving leaving our tables with one empty chair. One less plate at dinner...because they're feasting with the Father at the table only He could prepare.
