THROUGH OUR TEARS OF REGRET
It is possible in the course of our Christian walk to take our eyes off the Lord and stray. And it's possible to sin in a way we wouldn't have dreamed then become a prodigal with a high price to pay. But like the Father he is...God keeps calling our name like the lost sheep on a faraway hill. And we can repent & come running back to Him to His presence and His perfect will. As painful as it is to realize the sheer truth that we turned away from the God of our salvation, We must take His forgiveness...just like the day we were saved and let God heal us with true restoration. As important as it is to receive God's forgiveness we must forgive our own selves for our sin. For we'll never move forward without self-forgiveness and God's best work will never begin. Like the Father He is to the children of grace He's the one who can make all things new. And He's the Father who will use even our backslidden chapter for His glory in the things that we do. There are spiritual lessons we can learn in the process when He heals us from what we have done. For we learn true humility and are far less judgmental and more grateful for the gift of His Son. Later on, when we're healed we rejoice in His mercy and hold precious memories we will never forget, Of the Father who ran to meet us with a robe of forgiveness and held us close through our tears of regret.
