Christians coming out of the Shadows
Friends, I had a call from the Bank last night. It was an invitation to buy an insurance cover on credit card repayments. She started a lovely conversation and then asked "Would you agree that we are unsure what will face us each morning?"
I answered "Hmm maybe I do, but I believe my God will pull me thru and watch over me no matter what happens."
She agreed and said "I believe too, I am Catholic."
A few days ago, when faced with the sad news about a little boy who died and making arrangements for his siblings to come over - I happened to speak to a lady who befriended the distraught mother. I encouraged her to tell the Mother she would see her baby again (they were Christians) and to give her hope in God. She too revealed she was a Christian.
It made me very happy to know there was a spiritual tie with all the people I spoke to. We believed in our Saviour and our Father. Was it because God gave me the courage to speak about Him to others? I think so. If He had not done so, His Name would be missing from our conversations.
All it needs is one believer to shine their hope and the light our God gives us, slowly others confirm this hope and raise their light.
Darkness must leave our conversation and our presence when we talk about and claim the power of the one and only Living God. So friend, you may or may not be talking about our Saviour. If you are, keep being even a greater witness and if you aren't, isn't it time you come out of the shadows and join us?
'The Living God is our Creator and our Abba. His Son Jesus is our Saviour and will not forsake us. He is our Mediator and pleads for us at the right hand of the Father. Turn to Him for all your needs and trust that He loves you and will help you.'
