Please pray for 10 year old Brandon. I used to teach him when I worked at his school. He has a rare form of Cancer which has given him tumours on his liver and also on his lungs. The tumours on his lungs have shrunk with chemotherapy but he will have to have a liver transplant and is going to Birmingham children's hospital in January to have a first consultation. Brandon has his own website and is being very brave and positive.

Thank you so much for your prayers, Miriam. The latest news is that Brandon can only be placed on the list for a transplant when the tumours in his lungs have shrunk completely away, or the cancer will start to grow again in his new liver. He is awaiting more chemotherapy and this can't start until his blood count is better. Even the liver transplant may present problems as he has a relatively rare blood group. He really faces an uphill battle. He needs a miracle. But we know that ALL things are possible with God. Please, please keep praying. Thank you and God bless you.

Latest news: I went into my old school today and was talking to one of our teaching assistants who has regular contact with Brandon and his family. She says he is looking better! She also says please pray for Brandon's Dad who has an auto-immune condition which means he can't give a piece of his liver to help Brandon, although he is a perfect match with the blood group. This family are remaining upbeat in spite of everything and feel that prayer is helping them a lot! Please keep praying! Thank you!

Please pray some more for young Brandon. I have found out that the cancer, which seemed to be shrinking, is spreading again. Apparently his case has attracted world-wide attention as it is unusual for this type of cancer to get to this stage. A miracle is needed. But I know miracles have been happening.

We will surrender Brandon to God's loving care as this is the best thing we can ever do for him. The prayer of healing and the prayer of relinquishment must go together, hand-in-hand. Amen!

Thank you so much for your prayers. God bless you for them! The latest news is that as a last ditch attempt to stop the cancer spreading, Brandon had some new chemo therapy, but his parents were told that, if the treatment proved to be doing more harm than good, they would stop it. In that case, they were told he would then only have weeks with them, not months. However, he IS responding to the treatment and furthermore, he is not having side effects. BUT- although he is doing well, he has a long way to go. The good news is that he is still having days out with grandparents, and Aunties- and doing some fun things like fishing. Amazing really. He has a lot of courage. I don't know what God's will is for him, but please keep praying along with all who love and care for Brandon. Thank you.

Sad news- Brandon's mother, Leesa tells that they have had the news "no parent should have to hear." After hopes were raised, and dashed, finally- the "last ditch" chemo has failed and Brandon's parents have been told that they are going to lose their lovely, thoughtful, lively boy. When I visited his school (where I used to teach) the atmosphere was sombre- but there is a determination, particularly with the children, to make Brandon's remaining weeks as happy as possible. Brandon does have faith in Jesus, and I pray that this will be a comfort to him. Please continue to pray for him and for Leesa and Gary, his parents and Dylan, his brother.

Sadly Brandon died last Tuesday- July 3rd. His praents, Leesa and Gary, and brother Dylan, will need so much prayer as they prepare for his funeral on Thursday.
But- a lovely Christian lady I know said to me "When is Brandon's Thanksgiving service?" I thought how appropriate that was - a thanksgiving for Brandon's short life which has made such a impact on so many people from all over the world.
Please pray for Peace for this loving and brave family.
We can rejoice, even in sadness, that Brandon chose to go for Confirmation on June 30th- and though weak, he made that public declaration that he accepted Christ in his life!
