I can understand how difficult waiting is. The best has come out through the waiting (like the thornbirds ....their best song is that which comes when in pain) but you see, I believe the waiting is just part of the walk to our destiny, a very significant part ....like in the lives of David and Joseph and all....there was always a period of wilderness, but God was with them through it all.
I am reminded of the verse" Those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint'(Isa 40:31)
For me personally, this verse has brought in a different perspective. Many define this "wait" in many ways. What strikes me most is that the renewal of strength comes after the wait. So there's something awesome that happens during this period of waiting. Otherwise, where does the strength come to soar like eagles, run and not be weary and walk and not faint? So to me,waiting is the period of growth,of nourishment,of feeding,of learning to be totally dependant.
In my life, this has been so true. However painful the wait, it has been worthwhile, because I found the time to grow in the Lord.If we look at the lives of David and of Joseph.......there was a period of waiting. So, the waiting is just part of your journey towards your destiny. The soaring is yet to come........wow I'm just looking forward to that time, think of it! God has an awesome plan for your life, He's going to lift you and make you soar!!! So just continue to feed on His Word now, let your body mind and soul be nourished.
Yes, there was a period of delay a period of waiting, but when God brought it all into place and when He started revealing His ways, I saw the promise in Joel2:25. "He will restore the years eaten by the locust". That's what I have to say today. He will restore the years eaten by the locust by the caterpillar, the palmer worm, and what not and there's more......" and you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of God that has dealt wondrously with you and my people shall not be ashamed...." Wow, isn't that great......the greatness of His restoration....its coming to you. All these days of waiting will not be in vain. He will restore to you the years and that's His promise. Just claim it in faith and expect the unexpected!
Praying does miracles. You know something so amazing about prayer that has touched me most is that we change through it first, before the situation we are praying for changes, and we get the heavenly perspective.
Let us pray.... Father we just thank you for the great and awesome God that you are, for your love, for your promises that are true, and for your Word which is our light. We thank you for what you are doing in our lives. Father,we just praise you. We just glorify your precious name.Lord, continue to align our lives according to your purposes.
On our part Lord,we sow our seed of love, for that is what you want us to do.So here it is,O Lord, our sacrifice of love....Lord you are the Lord of the harvest and we know you will bring it to us and we will rejoice over the harvest.Thank you Lord for it,thank you for the restoration that we are going to get,and thank you for your promises.Take our lives,O Lord, and let it be worship to you.In Jesus name, Amen.
