"Water Is Still Lying On The Road"
The rain has gone as fast as it came,
But water is still lying on the road.
Sunshine shone for two or three days,
But water is still lying on the road.
Wind came and blew for a while,
But water is still lying on the road.
People reached out to wipe it,
But water is still lying on the road.
Children came and played for a while
But water is still lying on the road.
Officials arrived with pumps to try their best,
But water is still lying on the road.
An old man sat and thought about it,
But water is still lying on the road.
Someone measured the depth of it,
The depth was deep like an endless sea.
No one can wipe this lagoon,
Because the pit is in my heart.
Who can remove the water from the pit?
Who can level the pit of pain?
Searched a strong hand to get it new,
But sent a sufficient grace to me.
Then I gazed upon the pit,
I saw a bridge raised across the pit.
I walked along the bridge full of joy,
But water is still lying on the road.
