Abundance and Prosperity Require Faith in God
by Daniel N. Brown
Are you believing God for something and see
no evidence of anything taking place? It can
be frustrating. Especially when you feel like
you are in great need for God to act NOW!
I used to wonder what God was doing when I
needed Him most. I certainly didn't see Him
doing what I thought He should be doing. But,
you know, we are to live by faith, not by
sight. Hebrews 11:1 says, 'Faith is the
substance of things hoped for, the evidence
of things not seen."
I believe that if we accept the fact that
God's ways are higher than our ways and His
thoughts are deeper than our thoughts (Isaiah
55:9), we can trust that he has our best
interest in mind and he is working all things
for our good. "For I know the thoughts I
think toward you, thoughts of peace and not
of evil, to give you a future and a hope"
(Jeremiah 29:11).
We must believe without a doubt that we will
have a good future, that we will be guided to
the right situations at the right times, and
that we will see our dreams come to pass. We
will, if we believe, because our faith can
move mountains!
God has a great plan for each of us according
to his or her own unique gifts and abilities
(Jeremiah 29:11). Therefore, we must trust
that He is working all things for our benefit
according to His plan (Romans 8:28). It's
just a matter of faith!
The Bible says, "Without faith, it is
impossible to please God, for he who comes to
God must believe that He is, and that He is
a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him"
(Heb 11:6). So, decide to have faith in all
things. Believe everything will always work
out fine no matter what anything looks like.
So, if your frustrated because you are not
yet living at the level of abundance and
prosperity that you want to be, just relax!
Sometimes it's just a matter of getting out
of God's way. We need to stop trying to
always figure things out. Quit reasoning, and
let Him do His work in you and through you,
making you perfect and complete, lacking
nothing.
During the times when we don't see results,
be assured, God did not forget about you.
He's busy behind the scenes. So keep on
believing and doing the things you know you
should be doing and soon you will reap a
harvest if you don't give up (Galations
6:9).
