Bread from Heaven
If your greatness expands across the universe,
I have only seen just a glimmer of who you are.
Your power and glory are seen in all you have created,
You care enough to name every star.
If you care for them how much more do you care for me?
Awesome Holy God; My King, My Majesty.
You are the only one I need,
Only you can satisfy the hunger and thirst in me.
You are the bread from heaven,
You are the bread of life.
You are the bread from heaven,
More of you Lord, I cry.
If your Love is deeper and wider than any ocean,
I have only tasted just a drop.
If your love is higher than any mountain,
Will I ever reach this mountaintop?
If your forgiveness flows like a river,
I ask that you wash all my sins away.
If your grace is like the sun,
Lord, shine on me today.
The earth is like a marble in your mighty hands,
Your thoughts toward me outnumber the grains of sand.
How can my earthly mind ever comprehend,
That the Maker of this whole universe
Wants to be my friend?
I am just a gentle breeze; You are the thunder in a storm,
I am only a shadow; You are the shining light of dawn.
I am only a flower, that is slowly fading away,
You are the beginning and the end; Ancient of Days.
Bread from Heaven; fill me with more of you,
I will never be satisfied with only one taste of you.
How could I ever be,
When your Love is higher than any mountain,
and deeper than any sea?
