SILENT PRAYERS
God, as I come before You,
Sometimes I can’t find the words to say
I can only manage a silent prayer
In the form of tears, falling down my face
They tell You how I feel, even though
No words are expressed
You know, my thoughts, my pain
And the hurts, which I have suppressed
As my silent prayer is offered, You catch
Each and every tear
You comfort my breaking heart
And soothe my doubts and fears
You understand each word, even though
I don’t speak at all
You answer the silent prayers
And store them in a bottle,
You don’t miss one tear that falls
Words escape me, when the trial places
Me in a furnace of extreme heat
And all I can do, sometimes
Is allow my tears to speak to You,
As they splash upon Your nail scared feet
As I bow before You
And just let my tears pour from my soul
You catch them, and consider them
Priceless, like precious jewels
And more valuable than gold
For when I offer You, a silent prayer
My heart is laid before You, as I pray
And the tears allow my heart to be molded
Because the tears, will soften the clay
I don’t always need to give You words
For my prayers to be heard
You hear the silent prayer, in the form
Of tears falling down my face
And You catch each tear, as if
They were diamonds
In Your nail pierced hands of Grace
