You Hold My World In Your Hands
This poem is based upon Psalm 139
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You, My child are fearfully and wonderfully made
I knew you before you were born, even before
The earth’s foundations were laid
You are so precious in My sight
You, My child are priceless, you are more
Valuable than the greatest of treasure
My love for you is Eternal, it will never
Fail, it will continue to flow forever
I know when you sit, and when you rise
I know your every thought, and I have
Caught, and bottled every tear you’ve cried
I know everything you are going to say
Even before you start a sentence
There is nowhere you could hide from Me
Even in the darkness, you couldn’t escape My presence
I know everything about you, My child
I know what makes you sad, and
I know what makes you smile
I know what your dreams are
And the hidden desires, you hold inside your heart
I have a great future planned for you
And I long to bring those dreams and desires, to pass
I am the Father, which you have always longed for
In Me you have a Friend, now, and for evermore
I know your disappointments, your
Regrets, and your sorrows
But do not worry, because
I have forgiven your yesterdays
You have My mercy for today, and
I hold your tomorrows
I am walking right beside you, every single day
And no matter what happens, I will
Never leave you and walk away
You are My child, and your name is engraved
On the palm of my hand
Trust Me with your life, your loved ones
Trust Me, even when things are hard to understand
Surely goodness and mercy will follow you
All the days of your life
Live your every day knowing and believing
that you are the apple of My eye
As we journey through life together, My hand
Will always be in Yours
I will carry you when you are weak and
I will catch you if you stumble and fall
Nothing will happen today, or tomorrow
That isn’t in My perfect plan
Trust Me, My Child to hold your
Whole world in My hands
God can put His finger on our problems
If we would just learn to take our hands off them.
