"WHY LORD?"
Why do our children have to suffer, Lord, With catastrophic diseases and cancer? This is just one of the questions I have And I hope you can find a good answer.
Why are these children placed in orphan homes While loving parents remain barren, with no child of their own? And, why are the elderly left lonely and afraid; Abandoned by the children they, so lovingly, raised?
Lord, why are there still hungry people on earth, With all of the food you provide, And thousands of homeless left out in the streets, Within cardboard shelters they hide?
Lord, these things I just don't understand, Why our soldiers are dying on some foreign sand While their children and spouses worry and grieve, Because their father's or mother's can't get a reprieve.
Maybe, someday, Lord, "You'll explain this to me," Why we suffer so much in this land of the free. Where there are wars, Lord, we need to seek peace; Allowing love and forgiveness as our sweet release.
Matt. 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.
