DAD
The rich and fragile memories of my beloved Dad keeps me alive. O! Dad, you were my hero and my model. Your generous behaviour turned the glum days into special occasions.
You were handsome and beautiful, But when you were angry, your face would turn hard, the mouth set and the jaw pronounced. I feared your monumental temper which could erupt without warning.
Because of your towering intellect and reserved ways, I always admired you. Your love for nature was enchanting. Next to spending time with us, what you enjoyed most was nature.
You used to sit near the window, watching the mountains and the crystal blue sky. That was the blessed time when I come near you, You told me old folk tales and I sat with you for hours on end.
I remember that beautiful day when we both sat together and watched the rainbow which arched across the sky. It ended on the beautiful pond that lay on the right side of our house. When we saw the rainbow, we could hardly speak for awe and joy. Now only the good memories about you keeps me going in this weary world.
