PAGES OF LIFE
by JUSTINE
Oh, that You may teach me wisdom To fathom life's inroads. Moments by moments, life opens a new page That is strange and perplexing.
Opening each at a time, So great is the richness of life, Rich in surprises and mysteries. Read in many ways; Like the colour of rainbow, It is always indefinite.
Today is pain, tomorrow pleasure, All meshed in one maze. I search every page so I may know, Yet I'm left without words, To explain life's puzzles.
So I set to rewrite those pages, A little effort, a little hope, and a little patience. Enough to colour the dullness of life That it may shine with brightness.
And I said, I will not heed the shouting voices of lies and doom, Nor embrace the glamours of vice.
Choosing good, not brooding gloom, Desiring the brightness thereof And avoiding the bristling bridle; Like mountain blooms, to live with fullness And rejoice in life's richness.
