Prayer for a Restless Spirit
Lord of the Heavens and the Earth, my Saviour and God, I come to You today in my restlessness. There are so many things that I can do and many that I do and yet I am so empty. Nothing of this earth satisfies me anymore.
Father I believe You are calling me into service that I have no understanding and onto paths that I cannot even imagine. I believe I was born for a reason and that there is a higher purpose for me. I believe You have a divine calling on each of Your children but You wait for our complete 'yes' to You.
I say 'yes' my Lord and Father, please take over my life. This world offers so many empty pleasures and promises and do not want any of them. I want and thirst for the fountain of life giving water. I thirst for the Bread of Life and the Light of the world. I thirst for more of You, my Sweet Jesus who died for me.
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit today and change me from the depths inside. Cause a total transformation of mind, body, soul and spirit and establish Your Kingdom in me.
I do not want to be restless anymore for I am ready to succumb to You and to rest in You forever amen.
'The Living God is our Creator and our Abba. His Son Jesus is our Saviour and will not forsake us. He is our Mediator and pleads for us at the right hand of the Father. Turn to Him for all your needs and trust that He loves you and will help you.'
