O FAITH
by JUSTINE
O faith, great are you to me, When I writhe, you spur me, As a bluff, you cheer me on. Without you, I would rue But with you, I am sure.
Like a converter: Changing energies to usable power, You turn me into a conquerer. You oil the wheels of my endurance Leading me in the ways of boldness. Even then, I please His Highness, my King.
Faith, you are a true Companion, When I am abandoned. You call things that are not, Not as they ought, rather as though they are. With you I can't give up, but rise up Instead of woe ,you give me hope.
When I am about to fall, you call, Even when fallen, you make me golden. Together in the mad we can wade You show me the galore of Christ's glory, And the reason for every season. You are the gate out of every cage.
