PRELUDE
It is alleged that man in the
3rd chapter of Genesis,
without any lawful justification,
took and ate a forbidden fruit,
that was put in his care by God,
without the latter's authority.
In the alternative that Man in the
3rd chapter of Genesis,
disrespectfully and wantonly
with a foreknowledge,
undermined the authority of the
Most High God when he connived
with the devil to transfer the authority
vested in him by God to the former,
bringing about great troubles,chaos, strife,
calamity, curse, disease, death,
corruption and eternal separation.
In the first arraignment,
man pleaded guilty as charged,
was convicted and sentenced
accordingly as spelled out in the Law
to eternal separation from God
in the lake of fire.
The case was not mitigated
as there was no valid atonement
and the sentence was meted in full.
All that remained was the
execution of the judgment
and the subsequent incarceration.
This to me is the foundation
of the prosecutor's case.
Looking at the evidence of the prosecution,
the devil was at pain trying to lament
the magnitude of man's guilt.
He called it to the attention of this court
that offences of the nature alleged
were inherent and prevalent everywhere
in creation and man being the
crown of creation should bear the full wrath.
Further, he claimed that if this wasn't checked,
it would go a long way to threatening
the sanctity of heaven, let alone undermining
the authority of God. And that since
the case bordered treason and
disobedience which would not augur well
with the well being of heaven,
humankind should be ex-communicated,
exterminated, annihilated and alienated forever.
In other words, wiped out.
In support of his case, he referred to
the several provisions of our law,
the Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth (Bible),
stating that the greatest offence with which
man was charged was falling short of the
glory of God found in Romans 3:23, Gen 3:3.
"For such offences", he said, the Bible provided
the sentence in Ezek 18:4, Rom. 6:33, Ex 34:7, Ex32:33,
The law in Deuteronomy 21,22,23 and Rev 21:8".
Quoting the basic principle of condemnation,
the prosecutor reminded the judge that
his duty was very simple, i.e. to blatantly
bring his case within all possible doubts.
He assured the court of the certainty
of him having discharged his duty
by showing, as was on record in Gen 3:6-7
that the woman saw that the fruit was
pleasing to the eye, took, ate it and gave
some to the husband who also ate.
As a corroborative evidence, he alleged
that when they finished eating,
they discovered that they were naked.
"If it should be said to the contrary", he asked.
" Is hiding from God when He came in the evening
the conduct of an innocent person?
Not to the nearest degree! Man is guilty
and it should be found so,
demanded the devil.
Backing his rhetoric, he prayed that fairness
be maintained since the backbone of the court
was that God shows no favouritism (Rom 2:11).
Adding that since there was no one
who is righteous (Rom 3:10),
and that if there be any who did not sin,
a proviso (exception) to the law in Rom 5:14 demanded
that even those who did not sin by breaking
the law should submit to the reign of death.
Citing Rev 21:8, Rom 3:10 and Gal 5:19-21,
he asked man whether that was not an
accurate description of him, to which
the accused retorted in the affirmative.
"If then death was justified even without sin
by the law, how much more should the accused
who sinned be punished?"
And I am paying for a maximum sentence that
none of them should be restored to God.
"Because of all the above", demanded the devil,
The accused is mine in accordance with (1 John 3:8)
to the effect that he who does what is evil is of the devil".
Asking the court to show him any contrary provision
to the same effect, he then said that the accused sin
was gross, ugly, hideous and horrendous and
above all unforgiveable, hence attracting a punitive
punishment in Rev 21:8, their portion will be
in the Lake of fire and sulphur.
He then emphasized that the role of punishment
such as this is to pay back in the same measure
what the accused did, in that case therefore,
the punishment should be punitive enough to be
retributive and condemning.
At this, the court sought the opinion of the defence
if he had anything to say since the devil had so succinctly
submitted and prayed for a conviction of the accused.
To which, The Hon. His Lordship Jesus Christ,
Conqueror of the devil's empire and
Saviour of mankind said:
"My Lord God of Glory, I beg to defer from
the prosecution on grounds of changed legal order.
If today facts were to reign, I would concede to his
ingenious submission in respect of the accused's guilt.
Unfortunately, the prosecution pretends to be unaware
of the revolution that took place on the night of my
crucifixion , though I believe he was there
when I descended into the abyss.
If evidence are anything to go by,
then I will not only search the books of laws
to show what was done on that day,
but I will also move this court to inspect my palms
that were nailed on the cross,
my side that bled for the sins of the accused
and my head that wore a crown of disgrace to
atone for all that was committed by the accused.
I was lifted up from the ground that I may
draw man nigh to you my Lord.
All these are documented in Isaiah 53:5-8 and the gospels.
However, let me make a response to the prosecutors
allegations by illuminating his unknowings.
One fundamental thing the prosecutor forgot to allude
to is that this is the "Throne of Grace not of the
Law".
Heb 4:16 mandates every man to approach this
throne with confidence so that they may receive mercy
and grace to help them in times of need/ trouble. And
my client is rightly here and in the right place
because he is in need of an acquittal and in trouble
from the devil's vindictive implications.
I wouldn't say that man is innocent either,
but I would say that You, our glorious Judge
have an attribute in Psalm 103:2,12
that would justify leniency for my client.
You are the Lord who forgives all sins...
redeems life from the pit and crowns
with love and compassion.
Not only that my Lord of Glory,
as far as the East is from the West,
so far have you removed their transgressions.
And if the prosecution is trying to prove
the transgressions of the accused,
he is inadvertently trying to reduce the distance
between east and west, which I don't think
is in his powers to do so.
He also forgot that it is not your will
that any wicked man should perish
but rather that they should turn
away from their wicked ways and live. (Eze 33:11).
My client is no exception my Lord.
If the prosecutor describes the sins of my client
to be gross, ugly, hideous and horrendous,
then the accused qualifies to be mine
because it is for people like him that I came.
A doctor wouldn't treat somebody not diseased
because such a service would be in vain,
but he treats the sick, even the very sick and
that is exactly the condition of the accused
who is sick with sin.
The prosecution also sought to prove
by bringing in evidence provisions
of Rom 3:10, Gal 5;19-21, Rev 21:8, which
I find very vital in deciding the fate of the accused.
If I asked the accused whether all that
was said about him were true and heavy,
he would say absolutely true.
For that matter, I have rest for him
who labour and is heavy laden, under the provision of
our "Grund norm",
the Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth,
in Mat 11:28. I found the accused so laden and
I took upon me his yoke and he is free.
Beside, the simple prescription in (John 1:12) had
absolutely absolved the accused when he received me and
the father. He automatically received the right to
become your son, my glorious Lord.
This happened because he heeded to the call
sounded to everyone to look upon the lamb of God
who takes away the sins of the world in John 1:29.
Now my lord of Glory, if this case is about the guilt
and innocence of the accused, then its a misdirection
of the proceeding and a trial of your love. An attempt
to determine whether you really loved mankind or not.
No person in his right senses would do that or
question the kind of love you lavished on mankind in
John 3:16, the same love that saw me laying down my
life and becoming sin who was without sin. 2Cor 5:21.
My Lord this love is so high, so deep, so wide and so
long (Eph 3:18-19), that not even angels, demons,
distance, persecution or anything can separate the
client from (Rom 8:38).
In dying my Lord of Glory, i was paving way for people
like the accused to access your presence, and today he
is here and its proof that i am the only means of
coming to you as spelled out in Jhn 14:6.
All that happened so that they may have life and have it
more abundantly - (John 10:10). Besides it is your will that
everyone who looks to the son and believes should have
life - (John 6:40).
Now my Lord , if my client is handed the sentence
prayed for by the devil, how will he have life in abundance?.
In any case, the prosecution sought judgment from a
wrong court, having disregarded my jurisdiction to try
this manner of cases established in Jhn 5:27, where
You stated that judgment has been entrusted to the son.
For that matter, the prosecution has no "locus standi"
before your court my Lord of glory, for which i pray
his case be expunged from the eternal records of this
court.
If I may allude to the Law which the prosecutor
heavily relied on to secure a conviction for my
client, the same law has been overtaken by events and
new legal regimes. One of them is the legal notice in
John 13:34 which states that, a new commandment i give
to you that you love one another just as i have loved
you.
Followed by Rom 10:4,stating that now Christ is the
end of the Law and (1jhn 3:23,) and this is the command, that if they
believe in the name of your son Jesus Christ and love
one another just as He commanded.
Yet the devil has not referred to this changes in
legal regimes. he has only appealed to your wrath which is not meant
people like my client but for the devil and his disobedient
angels.
My lord of Glory, the reputation of this court will
not be dented by the trickery of the prosecution and i
move this court to stick to its fundamental principles
of its "Modus operandi" and keep the Law out of this
matter.
In any case, what the prosecutor referred to as sin is
simply," SATAN'S INSEDIOUS NETWORK"
I will adduce the following evidence to show the truth
I am speaking .
Rom 8:34,says only me Jesus Christ can condemn not the accused,
Rom 5:1, justification is by grace not the law, Rom 3:22, the
righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who
believe and Rom3:38, man is justified by faith apart
from observing the law, Psl 32:1 blessed is the man
whose transgressions are forgiven, Rom 4:25,He was
delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to
life for our justification.
With due respect at all to the prosecutions
misinformation hinged on Rom 5:15, that by the
trespass of one man many should die, i will say how
many more should live by the death of one man.
To sum up this , i will refer to to Rom 5:18... where the
result of one act of righteousness was the
justification that brought life to all men.
Further by illustrating with the provision of Rom 8:14,25,17,
that if they are children, then they are heirs of God
and co heirs with Christ.
Which now takes me to the greatest statement ever made
since the enactment of "The Grace", that there is
therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ
Jesus because through Christ the spirit of life set
free from the law of sin and death (Rom 8:1)
The prosecution sought to lie to this virtuous court
that law still operates, but as far as i am aware, the
law ceased in Rom 10:4 where you said that Christ is
the end of the Law so that there may be righteousness
for everyone who believes.
This proceeding is to me an ill conceived process
aimed at adulterating the proper procedures and is
therefore procedurally futile. That aside, i will not
base on the procedural defects but rather on the
substance of my case by stating that work or no work,
its not the question, the question is the statement in
Rom 11:6 which states that if it is by grace then its no
longer by works, if it were, grace would not be grace.
So I say my Lord of Glory, that you who is the only
wise God, should exercise your prerogative in finding
my client free because they are all sons of God
through faith in Christ Jesus(Gal 3:26)
My prayer to this court is that the accused be freed
and be allowed to share rest with me.Though the
prosecutor cites 1Jhn 3:8 saying that all who sin are
of the devil, he failed to read the verse in full
which should have read like this"... and for that
reason the son of God was made manifest to destroy the
work of the devil.
A strict interpretation of the section is that even
those who could have by some means belonged to the devil,
they are no longer his, because i destroyed his powers over
them when they believed in me.
A better view can be garnered from Eph 2:4 which
provides that and because of his great love for us,
God who is rich in mercy made us alive with Christ
Jesus even when we were dead in transgressions.
For this reason, i would like to refer the court to
1 John 5:1,5,12,13 which explicitly make the accused
mine and fit for my glory.
With this my lord of Glory, I Jesus Christ defender of my
flock rest my case with a prayer that the accused be accepted
to come and share rest with me prepared from the beginning of
time.
