A Poem From The King
This world is receiving a kingdom
The kingdom of heaven is near
Only the blind can see it
Only the deaf can hear
Its language - a trillion tongues of love
From hearts full of visions and dreams
Its currency - love expressed through faith
Sharing wisdom from Elohim
This world is receiving a kingdom
That bids us to rise up from sin
And calls us to soar like eagles
On the wind of the Spirit within
This kingdom of light shows us darkness
This kingdom of love drives out fear
This kingdom of grace exposes religion
That calls us to judge, not revere
For the King came to serve as a ransom
And show us the way of the cross
Where the greatest love is to lay down our lives
Not to see which of us can be boss
And the King did not come to judge or condemn
But to save us from evil and pain
His heart throbs with love for this broken world
His mercy falls like the rain
The key to this kingdom is Jesus
Humility knocks at the door
A wide open heart will usher us in
To a life never known before
Where rest and peace are the blanket
Our pillow - the heart of a King
And child-like faith is the rocking chair
Where He holds us so close, and sings:
"Oh My Treasures, I knew you before you were born
All your days are ordained in My heart
Created eternal, you’re made in My image
We aren’t meant to be living apart
Forever and always you’re part of My kingdom
Your life will go on and on
Though your life in this world has the limit of flesh
I’ll still hold you long after it’s gone
For your life in this world is just practice
To learn how to live with the King
All the hardship and suffering are nothing
Compared to the joy they will bring
When you reach that point where you understand
That it’s not up to you after all
All the fear-based striving and working
Only come between you and your call
The price has been paid by the blood of the Lamb
Because of My great love for you
Your part is to simply rest in My presence
And let Me carry you through
Yes this world will see tribulation
It will rock to and fro like a drunk
But you’ll be safe with Me in My ark
Long after Titanic has sunk
For I need you to fulfill My purpose
A new heaven and earth you will see
Where streets are gold, My life flows like a river
And the only light needed, is Me
All your suffering will serve as reminders
To teach your young My way alone
The deeper the pain, the greater the joy
As you watch them make Me their own
So ignore all this world’s troubles
Refuse to partake of its sin
Stay sheltered under the Most High
And look for My kingdom within."
Only the blind can see it
Only the deaf can hear
This world is receiving a kingdom
The Kingdom of Heaven is here!
