PAINFUL STILLNESS...
When you are called into the stillness of
That unforgiving minute...
Spoken of by Kipling
And shouted of by Thomas....
RAGE, RAGE against its
empty angst....
And other indifference...
Stop both the pleasure,
And so the pain,
Immortal Treasure...
Bring the rain!
And fill the cistern
of Time... now empty
Blank, devoid
With sheer Presence of Glory
Punctuated ...
Love exclaimed!
Make time eternal,
Because we feel
Its constraints upon us
Heavily hindered
By moving watch parts
Cogs and wheels
And tick tock ticking...
In a hundred cobwebbed years,
Not a minute will matter....
So write upon this parchment,
This life's journal, ...
Of Passion divine...
Of Pure Love's design...
Go out and live it...
This matter of time.
I will lay my head upon His breast
And in time and space I take my rest...
