LORD, HOWEVER DID I LIVE?
Lord, whatever can I give? However did I live? Before I cast my life before you And accepted you as King, Life didn’t mean a thing.
Lord, the world thought I’d done well, It was just an empty shell, Until you laid me on your shoulder And you took me home to you, Whatever did I do?
Lord, you died to set us free, For sin is misery And all that restless noise and striving Never fill the empty soul, That’s longing to be whole.
Lord be with me every day, And teach me how to stay, Still praising you when times are hard, For I am weak but you are strong, You’ll help me get along.
Lord in the shadow of your wings, I can hide and in all things, You carry me when I am falling, And I feel I can’t go on, You’re there to lean upon.
Lord, you took me as I am A lost, bewildered lamb, And now I’m lost in awe and wonder, At this prize I don’t deserve- Please teach me how to serve.
