WHY I WANT TO BECOME A TEACHER
I want to become a teacher because I truly have a great penchant and passion for making a difference in the lives of others. I feel that teaching is one of the most fulfilling and satisfying roles in life. To me, becoming a teacher means helping to shape another person by teaching and instructing them. The work of being a teacher is a huge responsibility and I am able and willing to take on this great challenge the way countless others have done before me.
No matter what position a person may hold in the annals of society, everyone has aspired to where they are in life today because they had a dedicated and committed teacher to teach and inspire them in the way they should go. A teacher is someone who instructs. To teach somebody is to communicate skills and give instruction in a creative and inspiring way.
My parents were teachers and they inspired me to be the best I could be at anything I wanted to be and set my heart on. As I have grown I have had other important teachers who inspired me to set out to accomplish my dreams. These wonderful select group of people called teachers in my life have led me to becoming a teacher. They have passed on the baton to me.
I always wanted to become a teacher, to do something creative to help the world, and return some of the exceptional privileges I enjoyed, including a commendable education and great teachers. I visualised myself accomplishing this extraordinary task through teaching. The world needs hardworking and dedicated teachers, and I wish to become a part of it. I believe that to become a teacher of exemplary stature, your heart really needs to be in it and you need to be solely committed to the cause. As a teacher, I will constantly think of ways on how to help my students to improve. I believe that I have the inner motivation and rare potential to become a good teacher, and in this way, I shall be able to influence the next generation in a most creative and highly positive way.
By becoming a teacher, I can help to shape the behavioural patterns of children and inspire them to become useful members of society. I understand the great art of motivating students, and getting them interested in their coursework. Their enthusiasm and motivation are the keys to a successful new generation. By communicating with students, I can help to mould their character. Today's students are the leaders of the nation tomorrow. A conscientious teacher can inspire students to be patient, honest and sincere. These admirable qualities can be carved into the minds of children at a very early age.
As a teacher, I will try to tap the potential of the students to the fullest by inspiring them to channel their energies fruitfully by drawing out the best in them. I would like to promote a mutual understanding between teachers and students as well as try to bring about a successful interaction among the students themselves. This provides a good experience for a better future - a future built of confidence and hope. I will strive to promote a great sense of achievement among students by encouraging their creativity and inspiring them to develop their hobbies and talents to make the world a better place.
