I burst into being, a spirit of great light - it was definitely God’s voice that I heard on that night. In the midst of my shadows, when the fear was so strong... He made a path to my heart to soothe me in song.
The song of His voice as it surrounded mortal sin, and still, with forgiveness, He invited me in to the Isle of Paradise where all is serene, and brought me His comfort through a terrifying dream.
His voice it surrounded me, felt within and without... a voice that I knew, there’s no inkling of doubt. It was everywhere and nowhere, heard above and below; It rippled through bone, through the heart of this soul.
It bolted down into my world from a sky filled with Love, came up through the floor into my life, delivered by a dove... I could feel it as it touched every chord within my heart, and light filtered through my being, took away the shadow’s dark.
It was loud, it was soft, it was vibrant and calm, the voice of acceptance, protection and awe. I heard it all around me and just knew it was He, I could tell by the beauty He washed over me.
I have never again seen such wonder in dreams, and sometimes I wonder, was it real, did I actually see? Did I in truth, hear the voice of God as I slept trembling in nightmare’s way... Or was it just an uttered prayer - something I needed on this day.

God speaks to us in many ways. This poem was born out of your experience. It is God's voice speaking to us.
