FINGERS OF MIST
I noted the moon last night enormous in its golden brilliance having just crested the lavender hills while day had not yet given up rule of the sky and thought on the majesty and splendor of You, LORD
And as I gazed fingers of mist slowly embraced the gleaming orb until it rested gently securely in an unseen hand.
That is me, Father or at least the me I long to be brilliantly aglow for You yet at total rest within Your embrace
Not busy about my own work but at rest in a work which You supply which flows from Your heart which fills my own and moves me to be nothing less than Your reflective light
Awaken me, LORD Awaken me to knowing You fully truthfully and in the knowing of You to not fear the transparency You desire of my life
I rest my God within the palm of Your hand on which my life is carved in letters scarlet and gently sing Your praise
