New Study on Psalms
The Bible is the story of God's love. This is the most beautiful truth in the whole world.
A Christian is a person to whom God has given His Holy Spirit. A new life comes into that person that will never stop.
The Holy Spirit dwells in us, giving us peace with God, and producing fruit in our lives of love, joy, peace, gentleness, kindness and holiness.
The Psalms are prayers and hymns that cover the full range of human emotion. They represent a personal journal of how to relate to God.They are cries from the heart - songs of joy and sorrow.
Here at the very centre of the Bible are songs, rising up like a tune from its heart. They capture the innermost thoughts and prayers of people - and they still speak directly to our needs.
For every emotion and mood, you can find a Psalm to match. The Psalms wrestle with the deepest sorrow, and ask God the hardest questions about suffering and injustice. Their voice is refreshingly spontaneous. They cry out to God, or shout for joy before Him.
Living by faith is not easy. The Psalms are powerful poems of praise and worship, some of the most beautiful ever written.
While real life questions, struggles, and discouragements have a strong voice in these poems, more powerful still is the voice of joy and security in the strength and fortress of Israel: the Lord Jesus Himself.
